Ingredients:

  • 8 quarts popped corn
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tp butter flavoring
  • 1 tsp burnt sugar flavoring
  • 1/2 tsp soda
  • peanuts (optional)

Directions:

  1. Pop the corn and sort out the unpopped kernals and set aside
  2. Sometimes I make more than the recipe calls for and still have enough coating
  3. Combine brown sugar, margarine, corn syrup and salt
  4. Boil for 5 minutes - slowly bring to a boil
  5. Stir in flavorings and soda
  6. Pour IMMEDIATELY over corn and stir
  7. Add peanuts just before putting into oven
  8. Put in 1 to 2 large sheet pans and place in 250 degree oven for 1 hour
  9. Stir about every 15 minutes
  10. Cool and keep tightly covered
