Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Grease an 8 x 1 1/2-inch round baking pan.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  4. In a medium bowl stir together the milk, egg, and minced onions.
  5. Add biscuit mix; stir just until moistened.
  6. Stir in 1/2 cup cheese and 1 1/2 teaspoons poppy seed.
  7. Spread batter into prepared pan.
  8. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and remaining poppy seed.
  9. If desired, arrange cooked onion on top.
  10. Drizzle with melted butter.
  11. Bake 20 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted near the center of bread comes out clean.
  12. Serve warm.
  13. *Note:For cooked onion, cook 1/2 cup thinly sliced onion in 1 tablespoon butter in a medium skillet over medium heat 6 to 8 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally.
