Old Fashioned Nut Bread

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp shortening
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup nuts, chopped

Directions:

  1. Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together.
  2. Work in shortening.
  3. Add egg, milk and nuts. Beat throughly.
  4. Turn into well greased loaf pan.
  5. Bake 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees.
