  1. You may want more of one thing and less of another. Also, after you dice up the apples, sprinkle them with Fruit Fresh so they won't turn dark, or you can use lemon juice.....whatever pulls your chain! Also, sprinkle a little salt on the apples. Start adding the rest of the ingredients and then mix the mayo with a little juice and mix it all up. I just use my eye when I add the dressing. This may take more or less. This is an old family standby. I cannot cook a Thanksgiving without making Grandma's apple salad. I would probably be drummed out of the family.
