Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 4 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325 F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Stir in molasses and vanilla; mix well.
  5. Sift dry ingredients together. Gradually add to moist.
  6. Drop by tablespoonfuls two inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
