Ginger And Molasses Cookies Again

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup molasses (mmmmmy favourite)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • note: i have often omitted the ground cloves and added 1-1/2 tsp. ginger.

Directions:

  1. Cream together butter and sugar and then add molasses and egg.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients and then add to creamed mixture.
  3. Blend well.
  4. Drain water from raisins and add to mixture.
  5. Roll dough into 1 inch balls and then roll in granulated white sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 300 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
