Ingredients:

  • nana country banana bread
  • i have lowered the fat count in my traditional
  • banana bread and added additional
  • wholesomeness! (hope you all like it
  • you may use more nuts if desired..i was running low on
  • them .)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup (or more) chopped nuts of your choice
  • preheat oven to 350 degrees f.
  • in a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda , cinnamon ,and salt.
  • cream together butter and brown sugar.
  • add apple sauce and blend well.
  • stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended.
  • fold in chopped nuts and raisins
  • stir banana mixture into flour mixture; stir just to moisten. pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
  • bake in preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean.
  • let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes , then turn out onto a wire rack.
