Kielbasa In Beer And Onions Kielbasa Zapiekana W P...

Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • note: i have used turkey kielbasa in this recipe and it tastes just as good. most people don't even notice the difference ;-)
  • 2-12 once bottles beer (not light)
  • salt , pepper and marjoram to taste

Directions:

  1. In a large heavy skillet melt the butter and sauté the onions and mushrooms over medium heat until onions are translucent but not browned.
  2. Add the kielbasa and brown for 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
  3. Add the beer to the pan and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat.
  5. Simmer, uncovered for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove the kielbasa and onions from the pan.
  7. Turn the sausage onto a platter or serving tray and top with the onions.
  8. Keep in a warm oven.
  9. Reduce the beer over high heat to 2 cups.
  10. Pour over kielbasa.
  11. Sprinkle with marjoram (optional)
  12. Serve with mashed potatoes and beetroot-horseradish relish.
