Directions:

  1. Simmer broccoli, onion and bay leaf in chicken broth until vegetables are crisp and tender.
  2. Remove bay leaf.
  3. Make sauce of butter, flour, and half-and-half.
  4. Pour sauce into broth mixture.
  5. Stir in cheese and egg noodles just before serving.
