Italian Meat Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 (12 oz) cans tomato paste
  • 2 (12 oz) cans water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp parsley
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Directions:

  1. Brown beef, onion and garlic in olive oil.
  2. Add rest and simmer uncovered 2 hours.
  3. I sometimes add fresh basil at the end.
