Hot Skillet Bacon, Apple  & Cole Slaw

Ingredients:

  • 1 slice bacon
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped onions
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

Directions:

  1. In 1-quart saucepan, fry bacon till crisp; drain; reserve drippings; crumble bacon.
  2. Add onion to bacon drippings and cook 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in vinegar, 1 tablespoon water, sugar, salt and pepper.
  4. Bring just to boiling.
  5. Add cabbage and apple, toss to coat.
  6. Cover and cook over medium heat 5 minutes or until cabbage just wilts.
  7. Stir in sour cream; top with crumbled bacon.
