Ingredients:

  • 4 cups oats
  • 1 cup wheat germ
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or 1 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 (6 oz) package dried sweetened cranberries

Directions:

  1. Heat the oven to 300 degrees.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the oats, wheat germ, nuts, sesame seeds, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt.
  3. Make a well in the dry ingredients and add the oil, honey and water.
  4. Toss until well combined.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly on a cookie sheet.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes or until lightly browned, stirring every 10 minutes to keep the mixture from sticking.
  7. Let it cool, then stir in the fruit.
  8. Store in an airtight container.
  9. Makes about 7 cups.
