Directions:

  1. Brown meat and onions.
  2. Drain well.
  3. Combine all ingredients in a large pot.
  4. Cook at least 2 hours or use a crockpot and cook up to 8 hours.
  5. Remove bay leaf before serving.
  6. This soup freezes well.
