Grilled Bacon-Onion Appetizers

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Cut each onion into 12 wedges.
  2. Cut bacon strips in half widthwise.
  3. Wrap a piece of bacon around each onion wedge and secure with toothpicks.
  4. Place in an ungreased 13-in x 9-in. x 2-in dish.
  5. Combine the brown sugar, vinegar, molasses, fresh ground pepper and barbecue sauce.
  6. Pour 1/2 cup over onions.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour, turning once.
  8. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade for basting.
  9. Drain and discard marinade.
  10. Grill appetizers, covered, over medium heat for 10-15 minutes, turning and basting frequently with reserved marinade.
  11. Enjoy.
