Green Beans with Pine Nuts and Basil

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Cook green beans in large pot of boiling salted water until crisp tender, about 6 minutes.
  2. Drain.
  3. Place beans in large bowl of ice water to cool quickly.
  4. Drain well.
  5. (Can be made one day ahead. Wrap beans in paper towels, then plastic bags, and chill).
  6. Heat oil in large pot over medium high heat.
  7. Add garlic; stir 30 seconds.
  8. Add beans; saute until heated through, about 8 minutes.
  9. Add pine nuts and basil; stir 2 minutes.
  10. Season with salt and pepper.
  11. Makes 12 servings.
