Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 medium bananas, mashed (i just put them in a ziploc bag and squish them, the kids really love doing that)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F/180°C.
  2. Cream shortening, sugar, milk and eggs.
  3. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and add to shortening mix.
  4. Stir in bananas and mix well.
  5. Pour into greased loaf pan.
  6. Bake about 55 minutes or until golden brown, check with toothpick.
