Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cornmeal , medium grind
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 deg.
  2. Sift together dry ingredients into a bowl.
  3. Add egg, milk and butter. Beat until smooth, about one minute. Do not overbeat.
  4. Bake in a greased 8 square pan for 20-25 minutes.
  5. Serve warm w/butter and a beaming smile.
