Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Beat egg with an electric mixer until light and lemon colored.
  2. Gradually beat in sugar until mixture is thick and pale.
  3. Mix flour, baking powder, salt then gently fold into egg mixture.
  4. Stir in apples, walnuts and vanilla.
  5. Generously butter a square pan then pour in batter.
  6. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes then serve warm.
