Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven at 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) and lightly grease a baking sheet. In a large bowl, sift flour and salt together. Lightly rub in butter with finger tips until mixture looks like coarse breadcrumbs. Add garlic, cheese and salt to mixture. Form a hole in the center of the mixture and pour in milk, setting aside 1 tsp. of milk for glazing the scones. Carefully mix until combined. Place onto a lightly floured board and knead lightly and briefly. Be careful to not overwork the dough. Shape dough to form a 1 inch thick round. Cut dough round into 8 wedges. Place on greased baking sheet and brush with remaining milk. Bake in oven for 10 to 20 minutes, or until scones are a light brown color. Serve hot or let cool on a wire rack.
