Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp margarine
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2-3 tbsp soy sauce

Directions:

  1. In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup water to a boil. Stir in 1 1/3 cup instant rice - remove from heat, cover and let stand for 5 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, cook 1 slightly beaten egg in 3 TBS margarine.
  3. Add 1/3 cup chopped onion and the rice. Saute, stirring over medium heat until mixture is lightly browned.
  4. Mix 1/3 cup water with 2-3 TBS soy sauce and stir into rice.
  5. For added color, cook in frozen peas.
  6. Cook until hot. Serve.
