Fresh Peach and Nut Cake or Cobbler

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or 1/2 cup pecans
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 large peaches, pitted and sliced into 10 slices each

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease and butter a 9x13-inch glass pan.
  3. In a food processor mix the dough ingredients.
  4. Pour into prepared pan.
  5. Mix sugar and cinnamon together.
  6. Pour half the sugar on batter.
  7. Place in 3 rows 10 slices of peaches each row.
  8. Eat 2 slices for yourself.
  9. Sprinkle the chopped nut over the peaches then top with the sugar and drizzle the butter over the sugar.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
