Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine onion with salt, sugar, vinegar and water. Set aside for 30 minutes, stirring once or twice. Drain.
  2. Place chard in a large skillet with 3/4 cup water and heat to boiling.
  3. Reduce heat and cook covered over medium heat until chard is tender crisp, about 8 minutes.
  4. Drain off any remaining liquid.
  5. Add onions and all of the remaining ingredients and toss with the chard.
  6. Continue cooking 3-4 minutes or until liquid is gone.
  7. Add salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with cheese.
