Dutch Apple Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup margarine or 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup sour milk or 1/3 cup apple juice
  • 1 cup chopped apple (skins or not , both okay)
  • 1/3 cup raisins

Directions:

  1. Cream the margarine and sugar.
  2. Beat in the eggs and vanilla.
  3. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the egg mix alternatively with the liquid, stirring between additions.
  5. Fold in the fruit.
  6. Bake in a greased loaf pan for approximately 55 minutes at 350 degrees.
