Drunken Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 dash nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup bourbon

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Combine cranberries, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in an 8 square pan.
  3. Bake 50 to 60 minutesor until the cranberries have softened and become juicy.
  4. Uncover and stir in the bourbon.
  5. The alcohol will evaporate leaving the liquor's smoky essence.
  6. Refrigerate covered until ready to serve.
