Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Directions:

  1. Mix,drop on greased sheet,bake in a very hot oven,450 degrees for about 15 minutes.
  2. Brake open with fork.
  3. Serve with butter and jam...or fry an egg,until the yolk is hard,place on biscuit with a slice of fried ham,ladle red eye gravy over top,country fries with ketchup on the side, fresh sliced tomatoes salt and peppered, bowl of warm applesauce with red hots melted in,big glass of milk with Nestle Quick stirred in, and cup of coffee,cream and sugar.
