Decadent Walnut Fudge Tart

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Crust: In a food processor, combine flour, cocoa, sugar and salt. Mix well. Distribute butter over flour and blend to resemble coarse meal.
  2. Add 1/3 cup coffee and blend until incorporated. If dough appears to be dry, add remaining coffee 1 T at a time.
  3. Remove dough and press into bottom and sides of 10 tart pan with removable bottom. Cover and refrigerate until chilled.
  4. Filling: Preheat oven to 350. Combine chocolate, sugar, butter, milk and liqueur in a large bowl and whisk to blend.
  5. Add walnuts and eggs, stirring to combine. Pour into chilled tart shell. Bake until top is dry and firm, 30 - 40 minutes. Cool on rack.
  6. Arrange strips of waxed paper in criss cross pattern on top of tart. Sift powdered sugar over. Carefully remove strips.
  7. Serve with ice cream if desired.
