Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • hot water

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt, melted butter, vanilla, and milk.
  3. Pour into a pyrex pan and bake for 20 minutes
  4. While it is in the oven, prepare the syrup.
  5. SYRUP
  6. In a liquid measuring cup, put the brown sugar in, then pour over it the hot water. fill until the 1 cup line. mix well.
  7. After the 20 minutes, take the cake out of the oven and pour the syrup on top of it.
  8. Bake for another 20 minutes.
