Ingredients:

  • 2 cups dates
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup dates
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1 cup whipped cream

Directions:

  1. Cook together the boiling water cut up dates and baking soda.
  2. Add butter
  3. Cool.
  4. Add sugar and eggs add dry ingredients
  5. Bake 1/2 hour in greased pans at 375 degrees til done
  6. Cool
  7. When cold put walnut mixture on
  8. For walnut mixture cook altogether about 10 minutes
  9. Cool serve with whipped cream.
