Crustless, Broccoli, Tuna Quiche

Ingredients:

  • 1 (900 g) packet frozen broccoli
  • 6 tbsp butter or 6 tbsp margarine
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 can tuna, drained and flaked (either oil in water - whatever 1 prefers)

Directions:

  1. Cook broccoli in slightly salted water until tender.
  2. Rinse under cold water and drain well.
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  4. Melt butter in a medium size pot.
  5. Add flour stirring until combined.
  6. Slowly add milk and continue stirring until sauce has thickened.
  7. At this point, add salt, cheese, lemon juice and mix until well combined.
  8. Remove pot from heat and add broccoli and tuna.
  9. Mix well, pour into a pyrex or glass baking dish.
  10. Bake covered for 35 minutes.
  11. Remove cover and continue baking for a further 10-20 minutes until nice and bubbly.
