Crispy Buttermilk Onion Rings

Ingredients:

  • 110 g red onion
  • 122 g buttermilk
  • 125 g flour
  • 1 tsp salt (1 quart canola oil, to fry)

Directions:

  1. Heat the oil over a medium high heat, to 375 degrees.
  2. Slice the onion and separate the rings. Dip the onion rings into the buttermilk, allow excess to drip off; coat in flour. Drop into the hot oil, cook until golden brown. Drain on a papered plate and serve.
