Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Put chopped clam pieces in large soup kettle with their own liquid or juice and bring to a quick boil.
  2. In a separate pot scald the milk with the onion and celery in it.
  3. Let this mixture simmer for 5 minutes and then strain off the milk.
  4. Add the milk to the clams in the kettle just before serving.
  5. Do this gradually so the milk will not curdle.
  6. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  7. Put small piece of butter in each cup before serving.
  8. Garnish with whipped cream and finely chopped parsley.
