Ingredients:

  • 6 cups ap flour
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups cream
  • filling
  • 3 cups brown sugar
  • topping
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar sifted
  • 1/4-1/3 cup cream or 1/2&1/2

Directions:

  1. Mix powders together in bowl, rub or cut in butter
  2. Add sugar, eggs and liquids, mix until it picks up all the flour
  3. Refrigerate dough 10-15 minutes while you amke filling and topping
  4. Filling combine and mix everything
  5. Topping combine and mix until smooth, place in piping bag and chill
  6. Roll out cold dough on lightly floured surface to 1/4 inch thick, square up dough into a rectangle about 20 long by 16 tall
  7. Spread filling over all but 1 of the long side at the bottom
  8. Roll from the top down to form a tight log, use last inch of naked dough to seal log
  9. Square up ends wrap lg in plastic and foil and freeze until needed
  10. When ready to bake, cut into 1 1/2 inch disks (use your hands to shape themif they are flat on one side) arrange in baking dish so that they just barely touch
  11. Bake 350 for 25-30 min (325 for 20-25 min convection)
  12. Let cool in pan then gently separate with a table knife or small spatula and pipe topping in zig-zag pattern over tops
  13. Yum!
