Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1-1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1-1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • topping
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Mix all ingredients except those for topping; pour in greased muffin pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes until tester comes out clean.
  2. Topping: Melt butter in shallow dish. Mix sugar and cinnamon together. Dip muffins in butter and roll in sugar mixture.
