Chicken Livers With Rice

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1/2 tsp sage
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 1/4 cup water

Directions:

  1. Mix water with next 5 ingredients.
  2. Bring to a boil, add rice.
  3. Cover and simmer for 17 minutes, until water is absorbed.
  4. Mix flour, salt, pepper, and paprika in a bag.
  5. Add chicken livers and shake to coat.
  6. Heat oil in skillet on med hi.
  7. Brown livers, stirring for 5 minutes, or until done, may have to do this in batches.
  8. Add more oil if needed.
  9. Remove from skillet, keep warm.
  10. Stir fry onion in same skillet, with water for 2 minutes.
  11. Return chicken livers and mix well.
  12. Put rice on plate, top with chicken livers.
