Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar , packed
  • 1/8 cup flour
  • 1 dash salt
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla , adjust to taste

Directions:

  1. In a heavy saucepan combine sugar and flour well and whisk in water and salt.
  2. Cook 6 to 8 minutes stirring constantly and adding a little more hot water if it becomes too thick.
  3. Remove from heat; stir in butter, cream, and vanilla.
  4. Serve warm.
