Ingredients:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp mace
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 1 cup fresh milk
  • frosting
  • 2-1/2 cups icing sugar
  • 2 tsp butter
  • 1/2 cup fresh milk

Directions:

  1. Mix all cake ingredients together then spoon into large covered baking dish.
  2. Bake at 300 for 3 hours then after 2-1/2 hours take cover off.
  3. Allow to cool overnight night then frost and serve.
  4. To make frosting combine icing sugar, almond flavoring, butter and milk then mix well.
