Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup butter (melted )
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 1/2 cup pecans (ground )

Directions:

  1. Combine flour and whole wheat flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in mixing bowl and stir well.
  2. Whisk together eggs, milk, melted butter and vanilla .
  3. Mix flour mixture with egg mixture mixing until smooth.
  4. Fold in blueberries ( if using frozen, no need to thaw.) orange zest and pecans.
  5. Let batter sit for a few minutes.
  6. Prepare according to manufacters directions in waffle maker.
  7. Serve with maple syrup.
