Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Take a small bundt pan or a 12 muffin tin and spray with the non-stick cooking spray.
  3. Mix the turbinado sugar with the egg beaters (or egg whites), nonfat yogurt, applesauce and vanilla extract. Give the grains of sugar time to dissolve.
  4. [NOTE: If you try to substitute the turbinado with artificial sweeteners, be warned: it won't work, and you'll be chewing on chocolate-flavored rubber. Additionally, if you substitute the turbinado with regular white sugar, the calories will go up. ]
  5. In another bowl, mix the dry ingredients (Cocoa powder, flour, corn starch, baking soda and salt).
  6. Once the turbinado sugar in the liquid is completely dissolved, quickly mix in the dry ingredients and stir until the ingredients are mostly well moistened and the mixture looks a little bit shiny.
  7. Next, put the mixture into the pan or muffin tin, and pop in the oven.
  8. Cooking time may vary, depending on your oven. It usually takes 20 minutes at 350°F.
  9. If you want it at it's best, watch it carefully, and test it by sticking a wooden toothpick near the center. If raw material comes up on the toothpick, it's not ready. If there are some moist crumbs on it, it's ready. If there is nothing on it, it may be overcooked.
  10. Once you have determined that your brownies are ready, bring them out to cool in their pan.
  11. Once they are at room temperature, seal up with plastic wrap, aluminum foil, or whatever floats your boat.
