Bears Gingerbread Pancakes

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • orange marmalade syrup
  • yields: 1 cup
  • 2/3 cup pure maple syrup 1/3 cup orange marmalade combine ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

Directions:

  1. Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl, and make a well in center of mixture.
  2. Add water to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened. May need to add some more milk-batter should not be too thick.
  3. Spoon about 2 tablespoons batter onto a hot, lightly greased griddle.
  4. Cook pancakes until tops are covered with bubbles and edges look cooked; turn and cook other side.
  5. Serve with Orange Marmalade Syrup
