Banana, Honey and Walnut Ice Cream

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Combine milk and honey in medium saucepan.
  2. Bring almost to simmer, stirring occasionally.
  3. Beat yolks until pale yellow.
  4. Gradually beat in hot milk.
  5. Set bowl into a larger bowl filled with ice (or cover with plastic wrap directly on the surface of the custard and chill overnight).
  6. Cool custard completely, stirring occasionally.
  7. Fold in whipped cream and bananas.
  8. Process according to ice cream maker’s manufacturer’s instructions, until half set.
  9. Add walnuts and process until set.
  10. Let ripen in freezer several hours before serving.
