Baked Bananas With Strawberry Flambe

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Peel bananas and arrange them, whole, side by side in a buttered baking dish.
  3. Spread the butter on top of the bananas.
  4. Rinse and hull the strawberries.
  5. Arrange them in rows in the spaces between the bananas.
  6. Sprinkle brown sugar over the berries and bananas.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the bananas are cooked through.
  8. Don't overbake.
  9. To serve, warm the Grand Marnier and pour it over the bananas and berries.
  10. Light immediately.
  11. For the most impressive effect, do this at the table with the lights dim so the flame will show.
  12. Serve as soon as the fire goes out.
