Directions:

  1. Use lower ends and trimmings of 1 lb of fresh asparagus. Roughly chop them into 1 pieces.
  2. Combine the rest of the broth ingredients in a pot, bring to a boil, simmer 20-25 minutes, and then strain.
  3. Refrigerate until needed.
