Asa Ransom House Cinnamon Swirl Breakfast Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar, mixed with
  • 3 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • powdered sugar (optional) or confectioners' sugar (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F and generously butter a 9 x 13 pan.
  2. Combine melted butter, 1 cup sugar and eggs; beat well.
  3. Add flour, baking powder, milk and vanilla; mix well and pour into prepared pan.
  4. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar evenly over the top of the batter and bake for 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  5. If desired, brush top of the cake with additional butter and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
