Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Cream together butter and sugar. Ad egg and beat.
  3. Sift together flour,cinnamon,baking powder,baking soda and salt.
  4. Beat dry ingredients into butter mixture
  5. Stir apples into batter,which will be thick and hard to stir.
  6. Turn into buttered 9' pie pan and spread smooth.
  7. Bake 1 hour,until just brown.
  8. This is wonderful with caramel topping drizzled on it while still warm.
  9. Can be doubled and done in a 9x13 pan
