Als Spicy Chili

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. hot sausage
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1 15 oz. can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 4 large cloves of garlic minced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2-3/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. paprika
  • 2 cans of kidney beans can be added if you like beans in your chili.

Directions:

  1. Brown both meats together until almost done. Drain.
  2. Add onion, garlic and about 1/2 the seasonings. Cook meat til no longer pink and onion is starting to get clear.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients except the green chilies.
  4. Simmer about an hour to an hour and a half. During the last half hour add the green chilies.
  5. If you want beans in your chili they can be added at the same time as the green chilies.
  6. Remember to put your spices in and and if you want it hotter then add more hot sauce.
