Ingredients:

  • 2 quarts water
  • 8 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tbsp cardamom seed
  • 1/2 tbsp whole cloves
  • 5 slices fresh gingerroot
  • 1 -2 black tea bags

Directions:

  1. Place cinnamon sticks, cardamon, cloves, peppercorns, and ginger in the 2 quarts water in a large saucepan.
  2. Boil 30 minutes.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer on low for 2 hours.
  4. Add water as necessary.
  5. Remove from heat and let the concoction sit over night.
  6. Strain tea and discard all but the liquid.
  7. Reheat.
  8. After heating the tea, add 1 -2 teabags of black tea.
  9. Steep one minute, then remove teabags.
  10. The black tea is an important healing catalyst in the tea.
  11. Store in fridge.
  12. Add milk and honey to taste.
  13. Is good hot or cold.
