Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350*. Spray or grease 13 X 9 pan.
  2. BASE: Combine brown sugar, peanut butter,crisco, milk and vanilla in large bowl. Mix at medium speed until well blended. Add egg; beat till just blended. Combine flour, baking soda, salt in small bowl. Add gradually to crisco mix on low speed till just blended. Press mixture into bottom of pan. Bake at 350* for 18-20 minutes or till toothpick comes out clean. DO NOT OVERBAKE!!!. Cool completely.
  3. PEANUT BUTTER LAYER: place 10x sugar, peanut butter, crisco and milk in medium bowl. Beat on low speed until smooth. Spread over base. Refrigerate 30 minutes.
  4. CHOCOLATE GLAZE: place chocolate and shortening in small microwave safe bowl. Nuke 50% power 1-2 minutes or until shiny and soft. Stir until smooth. Cool slightly. Spread over peanut butter layer. Refrigerate 1 hour or till glaze is set. Let stand 15-20 minutes before serving. Cut with pizza cutter.
  5. YIELD: 2 dozen 3 X1-1/2 bars.
