Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream the shortening, peanut butter and sugars. Add vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  2. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture.
  3. Shape into 1-inch balls and place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Flatten to 3/8 inch thickenss with a fork.
  4. Bake at 375 for 7-8 minutes or until golden. Cool on wire racks.
  5. In a mixing bowl, beat filling ingreadients until smooth.
  6. Spread on half of the cookies and top each with another cookie.
