Three-flavoured Rice With Cheddar Cheese Balls

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. To prepare the fried rice, heat oil in a large wok.
  2. Add garlic, red chillies and spring onions.
  3. Saute for a few minutes.
  4. Toss in the red bell pepper, soya sauce, salt, chicken or veggie stock and chilli sauce.
  5. Saute for a few minutes.
  6. Add rice and basil leaves.
  7. Stir-fry for 5 minutes.
  8. Keep aside.
  9. Now, prepare the chutney rice by combining the rice and chutney.
  10. Keep aside.
  11. Next, prepare the saffron rice.
  12. To do so, combine the rice, saffron and salt.
  13. Mix well and keep aside.
  14. Then prepare the cheese balls.
  15. To do so, add dried oregano and corriander to the grated cheese.
  16. Knead into a dough.
  17. Divide the cheese dough equally and shape into balls.
  18. Create a depression in each ball and fill with one almond stuffed date.
  19. Close each ball carefully and keep aside.
  20. Now, arrange the three-flavoured rice in an ovenproof glass bowl.
  21. Arrange the cheese balls over the rice.
  22. Place under a hot grill in the oven until the cheese melts.
  23. Make sure you dont overcook it or the cheese will burn.
  24. Serve hot.
