Directions:

  1. Prepare stuffing per box instructions - set aside to cool. Stir in beaten egg. Shape into heaping tablespoon size balls. Chill 2 hours.
  2. Pour oil to a depth of 2 inches into a Dutch oven; heat to 375°.
  3. Drop shaped stuffing hot oil, and fry, until crispy brown. Drain on a wire rack over paper towels; serve immediately. Note: Keep fried hushpuppies warm in oven at 225° for up to 15 minutes.
